Anesha Prier is a New Orleans native with over a decade of experience in the oncology field. She serves as a nurse navigator with the Louisiana Cancer Prevention & Control Programs, where she works to increase cancer screening rates across the state. She simultaneously practices as a chemotherapy nurse at University Medical Center New Orleans.
Because of the duality of her role working directly with cancer patients while also supporting statewide screening initiatives, Anesha has a deep understanding of the critical importance of early detection and the impact of cancer diagnoses at later stages.
She enjoys navigating individuals through complex healthcare journeys and helping to find available resources for cancer patients, removing barriers to medical care for underserved populations, and speaking about the importance of screening in an effort to boost screening rates across the state.
