All 4 One Alliance: This group provides women with financial assistance in purchasing products they need after surgery such as breast forms, mastectomy bras, radiation bras, and compression apparel for survivors with lymphedema.

American Breast Cancer Foundation: The ABCF provides direct financial assistance to uninsured and underserved women and men of all ages for breast cancer screening and diagnostic tests through the Breast Cancer Assistance Program, Community Partnership Program, and the Community Advocacy Program.

American Cancer Society – Understanding Financial and Legal Matters: American Cancer Society provides information on financial management and the legal rights of cancer patients and their families.

Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans (CAGNO): This New Orleans non-profit provides financial assistance for medication, gas for transportation, breast forms, wigs, and a variety of other supplies. Their new partnership with Breastoration offers financial assistance to women who cannot afford their breast reconstruction surgeries.

Cancer Care: This program offers financial assistance for treatment-related costs, such as transportation, home care and child care, as well as assistance with copays.

Cancer Financial Assistance Coalition: The coalition helps cancer patients manage their financial challenges by providing financial education and connecting patients with financial resources.

Capital Area Transit System: Baton Rouge’s Capital Area Transit System (CATS) on Demand offers ground transportation services to qualified individuals with a disability that cannot utilize the city bus system. The CATS on Demand fare is $1.75 per person each way.

Celgene Patient Support: If you are on a Celgene drug for your treatment, this portal can help you with information about co-pay assistance and healthcare professionals navigate the challenges of reimbursement. The website features insurance coverage and reimbursement information, tools and resources, and financial resources, including the Celgene free medication program. Celgene Patient Support Specialists can connect patients with organizations that may provide financial assistance for co-pay assistance. 

Cenla Medication Access Program: This program provides LA residents that meet income guidelines and do not have Medicaid, Medicare, or prescription coverage with financial assistance for chronic care prescription medications.

Christians Overcoming Cancer: This faith-based nonprofit organization helps people meet personal, non-medical financial obligations while undergoing cancer treatment.

Community Christian Concern: Short-term emergency assistance with food and clothing to individuals in the Slidell area. Services also include financial counseling, and spiritual and guidance counseling.

DEMCO Foundation: This Baton Rouge-based service offers financial assistance for various needs, such as medical bills, shelter, pharmacy and medical supplies, utility assistance and more.

Financial Help to Pay Medical Bills: A guide to medical co-payment assistance organizations, specific assistance for cancer patients, and prescription drug assistance organizations.

Hair To Stay: This nonprofit organization offers need-based grants to offset the expense of scalp cooling systems for chemotherapy patients.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program: This statewide program offers eligible households financial assistance meeting their monthly utility bills.

Lydia Cancer Association: This organization provides financial assistance for prescriptions, medical expenses, utilities, and food for patients in Iberia, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion parishes.

Medicaid: Louisiana’s Medicaid Program provides health coverage for low-income residents that meet eligibility requirements. If someone does not qualify, a Medicaid specialist will research other types of assistance available.

Mommy and Me Cancer Foundation: Mommy and Me Cancer Foundation offers financial support for mothers diagnosed with cancer to help offset the increased bills associated with a cancer diagnosis. They also offer peer-to-peer support and educational information to help young children understand what is happening to mommy.

Needy Meds: This site links patients to prescription assistance, low-cost health care facilities, and other financial aid programs for medical needs.

Partnership for Prescription Assistance: This service connects qualified patients without prescription drug coverage to programs that will allow them to get their medication at a reduced cost or for free.
